A dog is not your personal therapist

A dog is not your personal therapist, grow up, take responsibility for yourself, go to a psychologist.
Woman, do you have a problem with emotions, depression? He didn't call again, you didn't see each other over the weekend, two, you know he chose his friends and that super, slim friend from the gym. Mom, she's been trying to get you to do something about yourself again, that hair, the mess in the kitchen, the rented apartment instead of buying your own... It's been a week at work, and you really don't have the strength to do all the work for everyone in the team, and besides, your narcissistic boss doesn't appreciate it anyway...
And so you come home with all this baggage, sadness, anger, fear, regret, remorse, pissed off at everything and everyone. The only thing you dream of is crawling under a blanket, pouring yourself a glass of wine, opening salty-sour chips and snuggling up with your ONLY furry friend who understands you and is the only one who accepts you as you are.
ATTENTION!
Instead of transferring all these negative emotions to your dog, grow up, take responsibility for yourself, go to a psychologist. A dog is not your private therapist.
Hurt? Yes, that was supposed to hurt. Why am I writing about this? I don't want to offend you, point out your weaknesses, or drive the needle even deeper. I'm writing this so directly because I want you and your beloved dog to live together peacefully, healthily, and happily.
Do you remember this text from great-grandmother Marysia: "The cat took the cancer from grandpa and went to heaven", or at least something similar 😊
It is not a breakthrough if I write here that animals sense our emotions.
A dog is not just an animal, it is a faithful companion and defender.
For many people, a dog is no longer just an animal – it has become a full-fledged member of the family – we can see this especially in the Millennial group. In moments of sadness and difficulty, it is in their eyes that we find understanding more often than in people. Is it a matter of unconditional loyalty or perhaps the ability to perfectly read our emotions?
Ok, just cuddling up in warm, soft fur calms you down, because then our brain produces a huge dose of the hormone called oxytocin (more on that in another article) and then that popcorn smell from the paws. And you feel that it is definitely better than a moment ago :)
Dogs have an extraordinary "sixth sense" - intuition
Dogs have an extraordinary “sixth sense,” their highly active third eye center, which allows them to sense more than we might think. Many researchers believe that the key to their intuition is their ability to analyze body language and subtle nonverbal cues. However, it is increasingly being said that dogs are connected to their caregivers on a deeper level—through an energy field and the mechanisms described by Rupert Sheldrake’s morphogenetic field theory.
Ok, super cool and now in Polish, what are these morphogenetic fields???
Do you remember the old CRT TVs, the ones where when you approached the screen with your hand, you felt a push? Do you remember how cool it was to stick magnets from the fridge to the TV – and then your parents, especially your dad, would get angry? You also emit such a field. Your heart is its main generator. And the emotions you feel are recorded in that field, from which the dog reads information and emotions into its field.

The dog recognizes your sadness
Studies have shown that dogs are excellent at distinguishing sadness from other emotions. When their owner feels bad, they change their behavior – they become calmer, lie down at their feet, lick their hands or even tears. In energy medicine, it is said that dogs can take on their owner's negative energy, absorbing stress and helping to restore balance to the human aura. You know that feeling, I do too. You feel better then, but pay attention to the fact that you get rid of these emotions, and they go to your dog. The first law of conservation of energy, "energy does not disappear, it only changes its form" - (a law formulated by Emilie du Châtelet - an empirical law of physics stating that in an isolated system, the sum of all types of energy in the system is constant over time.)
- He knows what you plan to do
We've all observed this behavior more than once—even before you reach for the leash or open the bathroom door, your pet already knows what's coming. Is he a mind reader? Sheldrake suggests that dogs use morphogenetic fields—invisible but real energy connections that allow them to perceive their caregivers' intentions before they're carried out.
That's why when you feel like having a snack, your dog is often already standing by the fridge - unless you have a special glutton at home, a glutton, then you're the one who's reading from his field, it's nice to have something to munch on... maybe that would explain why your weight still stands still 😊
Dogs sense when you go to the vet
- A dog can sense illness
Animals are excellent at detecting cancer, diabetes, and even impending epileptic seizures. They are the first to sense pregnancy – it is the most effective screening test, believe me, you do not need a pregnancy test.
It can be assumed that the factor that enables dogs to recognize cancer cells is the release of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) by them, which can be detected by smell.
At the Institute of Genetics and Animal Breeding of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Jastrzębiec near Warsaw, dogs are trained to detect odor markers of lung and breast cancer. The goal is to use these animals in the future for early diagnosis of these diseases.
There have been cases known for a long time in which dogs can detect approaching hypoglycemia attacks in people suffering from diabetes, which is associated with the smell of acetone. Dogs can also detect epileptic seizures or liver problems, which are accompanied by a characteristic smell.
With their incredibly sensitive sense of smell, dogs can pick up on changes in human body chemistry. Additionally, in some energy therapies, dogs are used as “bioresonators” to help identify energy blockages in the human body.
- He feels your fear
A dog can sense stress and anxiety – both by your scent (adrenaline and its pre-molecules have their own specific aroma) and through body language. That is why, when you are walking in a group through the countryside and you are the only one afraid of wild dogs – you have it for sure that if even one of the carefree ones runs out the gates, he will run up and bark at you. Moreover, in energy medicine, attention is drawn to the fact that dogs are like mirrors – they synchronize their aura with their owner. That is why a dog of a fearful owner may become nervous or aggressive himself.
- He has a sense of justice
Studies show that dogs react to injustice - if they don't get a reward, while other dogs are rewarded, they start to rebel. Similarly, when you go in the evening for another piece of chocolate, the dog wants a snack, there has to be balance. From an energetic point of view, dogs are extremely sensitive to harmonious relationships in their environment, and any injustice disrupts their internal balance.
- A dog can sense when you stop paying attention to him
Animals are very good at noticing when their position in the family is weakening – for example, after the birth of a child or the arrival of a new pet. Our spoiled only child – Rufus, did not speak to us for a week after his younger sister – Lucy appeared at home! Dogs can then show jealousy, trying to attract attention. From the perspective of morphogenetic fields, dogs are connected to the “family energy field” and any change affects their well-being.
- The dog knows when you are angry
You don't even have to raise your voice - your pet will know perfectly well that you're upset. It may then become hunched over, avoid eye contact or, on the contrary, try to calm you down. But why is the dog to blame for this "bitch at work who once again took credit for your work"?
- He judges you based on your behavior towards others.
Dogs observe not only how you treat them, but also how you treat other people. If you show generosity and kindness, your pet will be more likely to trust you. On the other hand, aggression, lack of self-confidence, fear, or rudeness to others can cause your dog to distance itself. Some energy therapists claim that dogs can sense the “dark” and “light” energies in people, which is why they often avoid certain people or immediately show sympathy.
- He's taking advantage of your inattention.
Even the most obedient dogs can be tempted the moment you lose sight of them. Many owners have noticed their pets stealing food or jumping on the couch when they think no one is watching. It may be more of an instinct, but some researchers suggest that dogs can “sense” when their owners are mentally distracted.
Summary
Our dogs know more about us than we might think. Their ability to read emotions, anticipate our intentions, and pick up on subtle cues makes them not only companions, but true friends.
By combining knowledge from the field of science, energy medicine and morphogenetic field theory, we can better understand this unique phenomenon and learn to consciously cooperate with our pet on a level not only physical, but also energetic. Maybe it is worth starting to look at the relationship with your dog as something more - as a subtle exchange of energy that brings mutual benefits. Therefore, my request, when you are next a ticking bomb of anger, vexation and powerlessness, go to the gym, dance, clean up, use the advice of a psychologist, do not transfer these negative emotions to your Only Friend.
